Pulsar II on a MacOS-X platform?

A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

Hi!

Does anyone know when or whether this is gonna' happen? PulsarII for MacOS-X? I'm using 9.0.4, VST/32 5.1 and Pulsar II v3 on a Dual 450 MHz G4 and it....well, it works okay, but as most of you might know 9.0.4's internet abilities suck. And it sure would be pleasant to get the second processor to work. A release date of Cubase SX for MacOS-X must be just around the corner.

PS: Btw. I haven't quite understood the pros (& cons) of the new SCOPE Fusion Platform. Is it the solution to my problems?

Ciao & thanks a lot in advance

I have almost the same setup except 500Mhz Single Processor, so I don't know how much better OSX will be for me. Try upgrading to OS9.2.2 which is what I'm about to do so I can use SFP3.1c when it comes out. From what I've read on the internet Cubase SX for Mac won't get a release till December at the ealiest as OSX 10.2 Jaguar has really only just become widely available. Creamware are looking at OSX development (it says so somewhere on the CW website) but surprisingly enough haven't any dates (as indeed Steinberg don't). Also you'll need to wait for Carbonised OSX versions of any VSTis that you use as you wont be able to use them in SX otherwise. Yes we should push for OSX development but you've got a good, stable system at the moment - make music.

Hi TonyR

Super. Thanks a lot. I didn't know that. I guess I'll have to check out MacOS v9.2.x then. v9.1 didn't really work out for me. The thing is that I run a diversity of applications on the same Mac. I might as well buy a second-hand Mac for all the office/internet/gaming-stuff and dedicate my lovely DualG4 to music production (there really still is something to a Mac, isn't there?).

How does it work - the FUSION-platform-thing?

All the best

You really should upgrade to 9.2.2.
I did and have'nt regretted it.
It is necessary to run SFP.
