The STS 3000 cannot find/load any of the chromatic snare samples on the Akai format CD. Anyone else seen this or have success loading these with a different version STS?

Great sounding drums BTW.

I've just been using the small sample players to load load them and haven't had any problems. Definitely the best drum sounds I've come across. It'd be nice if they had a tambourine on there too.

The chromatic snares are a part of the AKAI programs and have to be loaded as such...that's when the STS3K says it can't find the samples. If you have the AKAI disc and use the STS3K sampler or CDXtract to read the contents, I think you'll find the SDCH****(chromatic snares)don't show up. I have no problem loading the ones that show on the disc...it's the program variation that wants to see the snares as new samples in the STS that I'm not able to use.

Not according to Yellow Tools. They say it's a program variation of existing samples that the STS3K is not interpreting properly.
