I've been using the STM2448 (& Pulsarmixer before) for the eq & comp. on each channel. Other than the lack of automation they're doing general work really well.

However, I currently have 4 chans that I use for my kit & have an interest in keeping only the 2448 as my mixer (Pulsar 1 atm).

So would someone care to expound on using inserts on a Bus? They don't seem to be working quite as expected (Ie, all the chans on the bus get sent directly through the compressor before going to the master). From the way it sounds, it appears they're working more like a send and adding to the mix.

You can send channels, busses and aux effects to the Mix Out. By default, I think they all go to 'Mix'.

You should click the green button to disable 'Mix' for the channels you want to go thru Busses and not to Mix too.

atomic i could kiss you =P

Thanks for that tip, I was too busy worrying that the only descriptive thing I could see on the image on page 33 of my STM2448 manual is "Bild ist neu!". I should have been reading the rest of the darn thing too =]
