Is it just me getting old and tired or is it true: there's just not as many problems around anymore.

This time last year there was one desperate plea after another (from me included  ), but now, not much, or at least not so serious. Not so many people cursing and screaming and saying what garbage CW cards are and how they're going to tell all their friends about it.

All down to 3.0 and now 3.1 SFP ?

Hope so. I've held off on SFP because 3.0 has been so good and stable, but with 3.1a the big day approaches.

I think faster graphics would be really nice... OpenGL accelerated would be really, really nice.

Then I can have an excuse to buy a fast Geforce4 or something besides just to run MilkDrop for Winamp

Hello Spirit. i 'm thinking of that sometimes... I haven't even upgraded to 3.1a. SFP + XP is really great to work with. I work without even a crash for a half year! (must be lucky i suppose it's a long period - i'm waiting for it!). I 'm planning for an SRB and Minimax now (at christmas..). Sometimes (everyday) i also feel lucky of the choice to buy Pulsar 2 years ago..
For example : i 'm routing a reactor instrument to a nova laptop part, another reactor instrument to a modular 2 patch with env+lfo controlled filter. The sound creation posibilities are endless...
The SFp sound is great...

Maybe we don't get so much fresh blood anymore. I have seen a few "basic" threads about PCI capacity and so lately, but maybe the inhabitants of the planet have (more or less all) been here for so long, that we kind of know how to make the stuff work - with new and improved software ofcause

Or maybe it's just everyone taking vacations in summer.

It's not just the problems, it's the overall activity here that seems to have slowed down for the past two months.

I just upgraded from Pulsar 3.0 to SFP 3.1a last night. What a change ! Even with the installer it seemed that CW had moved from a slightly didgey feel to a real professional installer - these things make a difference.

I suppose this is all ancient history to most people, but I was impressed.

The end result was that SFP installed first time with absolutely no problems, and every device was available without error.

I'm a little confused about whether I need to manually start SFP after a reboot to have the default project available and then hide it, but hey, everything works.

check the yahoogroup pulsar scope. there are plenty of cakewalk - um i mean sonar - users complaining about the WDM drivers. and that program is becoming more and more of an option to people in the PC arena especially now Logic is abandoned by apple.

other companies have made pretty good WDM drivers and creamware should as well. (even though i espe dont need it now Acid has ASIO
