SFP.exe loaded but not available

I'm certain I've read a thread about this before but cannot find it!
All of a sudden, my Pulsar died on me, and the sfp.exe is no longer available. It's visible in the task-manager but not in the system tray, and Cubase SX can't see it either. Any clues?

Start -> Run -> type in: msconfig (hit enter)

Startup tab.

Is SFP checked there? If not, check it.

Yes, it's checked, that's the strange thing. It's appearing in taskmanager, and if I end process and then start sfp.exe again, it's once again in manager but yet not available. Can't remember where I read about it, but I know that it's a problem other people has had.

Fixed it. Strangely, it was VST Halion that messed things up!
