OK, I moved house so that's the new thing.
I havn't changed anything in my computer I just connected the XITE, turned it on, started the PC, opened SCOPE but alas, no sound. I can see on DSP meter that nothing is loaded on them.
If I disconnect the HDMI cable I get the warning "to not mess with the copy protection", so the XITE is seen by the PC.
Anyone got any ideas as to what is going on here?
SOLVED - XITE seen by PC but are not loading devices?

no, i'm not sure what has happened, but the XITE is not hot swappable.
if you disconnect the HDMI cable with the PC powered, it will definitely cause a panic. reseat the PCIe card and HDMI cable with the power off.

Re: XITE seen by PC but are not loading devices - Any ideas?
Thanks for responding so fast Gary!
I know the XITE is not hot swapable. The point I was trying to make is that my computer sees and recognizes the XITE, so there is a connection between the two of them, allthough sadly not as romantic as I want it to be.
I have tried to reseat the PCI-E-card several times.
I have tried to reattach the HDMI I cable.
I have tried a different HDMI cable.
But still the result is the same, no sound and nothing is loaded to the DSP's on the XITE.
I'm beginning to get worried that somethings not right with my XITE unit anymore - because I moved it in it's original case?
Any other good ideas as to what I can try?

OK - The problem was that I have been running my XITE in slave mode, slaved to my SCOPE PCI-cards. For some reason this works best.
Anyways, not having the XITE hooked up to the PCI-cards over ADAT and still running in slave mode resulted in the above behavior.
All is good now. Back in master mode for now - let the romance commence
