I hope someone out there can help me on this. Im running Pulsar 2 with 2 01V mixers and with ADAT interfaces. I'm getting pops and clicks when I connect the ADAT source modules (whether I;m using one 01V or both). I have trouble shot this problem everyway that I can imagine, but thsi problem will not go away. The really strange thing is that the clicking and popping gets worse over tiem (the longer the system is running, the worse it gets). If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate hearing them. Thanks in advace.

Pulsar 2 click problem
Mo,
I have setup the system all ways possible(Pulsar as Master, one 01V as master with pulsar synching via Adat , one 01v as master with pulsar synching via s/pdif). I tried the system with one 01V to try to isolated the problem to maybe an internal problem with one of the mixing boards (I swapped out ADAT cards, turned off outputs digitally in the routing section of the 01V), but found nothing wrong internally on either board and click and pops were still there. I should also note that the clicks and pops don't register on the 01V meters at the output of the 01V, even though they show up in pulsar at the ADAT source module (which is where the problem starts). I thought maybe the ADAT source module was bad, so I have brougt new ones into pulsar and the problem persists. I hope this gives you all some more information. Thanks again.

I had that mixer, great desk. Worked perfectly for me with Pulsar. Here's what I suggest.
1. Start with just one 01v in the picture. Use a flashlight to make sure the litepipe connectors on the desk, and on the pulsar card are clean, dust-free, and not scratched.
2. Turn on the Mixer, and turn on the computer. Unplug both litepipe cables completely. Unplug all SPDIF from the mixer and Pulsar, for now.
3. Now, firmly plug in the cable to the back of the mixer. I've had problems where all I would get is clicks, couldn't figure it out, then realized it was because the litepipe cable wasn't inserted completely into the mixer. Make sure that's not the case.
4. Firmly plug in the litepipe cable with the red lite into the Pulsar connector that isn't lit, and plug the unlit litepipe cable to the red lit connector on the back of Pulsar. Be sure the cables are completely connected on the back of Pulsar.
5. I've found it best, when working with 01v and Pulsar, to have the 01v act as Sync Master. On the 01v Digital Setup pages, make sure you have the "proper" sampling rate set (I used 44.1, 24 bits), and clock set to "Internal."
6. Now, start up Pulsar (with 01v volume DOWN), wire up your WAV source, load winamp (so we can test), and open your Sample Rate settings in Pulsar. Slave to ADAT 1, 44.1 (if thats what you chose on the 01v), should take about 10-15 seconds to sync... and it should work.
If it doesn't... then it's either a bad litepipe cable, a bad connection on Pulsar or the mixer, or, worst case, a scratched lense or malfunctioning device.
I have more, but tell me how this goes first.
