i just tried the demo, and i thought it was great. i had decided to wait untill next mont/paycheck before i bought this one, but now im getting impatient.
earlier today i came up with the beginning (first verse and chorus) of a new song, so I recoded acoustic guitar and vox on the fly, paying no attention to the sound or my own performance.
when i now listened to it and tried vinco on it, i was very surprised. what i intended to be a simple sketch for further composing sounded now as a half decent production. half decent because the recorded material was of really poor quality and my playing/singing wasnt much to brag about either.
vinco gave the guitar an accented but controlled dynamic sound, and it still sounded crisp and alive. my poor excuse of singing/voice controll was a no brainer for vinco, it evened out the extreme varitions in level without draging my half hearted performance out of it. vinco even filled in the blanks in the lyrics.
So i guess you can say i liked it.
It doesent matter im gonna buy it anyway, but it would be interested if some1 compared it to other dsp compressors like bombfactory, waves, uad1, powercore etc.
Iv tried the renesaince comp from waves but only native. my first impression of vinco gives it the upperhand over that one.
my 2 cent, or should i say 168 euro.

"free"!? this word don't exist in cw's dictionary - even for "big birthday"!
so, i'm waiting for my uad-1.
if i compare with cw's prices and devices what we have with basic configuration i can say that i got nice uad's compressors, eq, reverb.... for free!

BTW, kiminet, between my first message and your, a Creamware patch was out, fixing it. Before, it didn't work in insert. That's exactly why a patch was release.
This at least show that creamware is fast at fixing things if they want to.

I hope a bug fixed SFP 3.1x will come soon, even if there are too much bugs to be quick fixed as for the Vinco.
Have you seen the synths/samplerate bug?

It is very nice: presets are changing with each samplerate!!! Try a preset at 48kHz and then at 96kHz...Some sweep effects speed and LFOs runs two time quicker at 96kHz compared to 48kHz, and the same issue goes proportionally at 32kHz & 44,1kHz, and this is the more obvious, I didn't analyse all the changes mades to the presets by changing the samplerate...

I only hope the same issue doesn't affects FXs too (imagine a phaser that goes two times quickly at 96kHz than 48 kHz)

Sound designers that mades the presets must be happy...They should now indicate at what samplerate they creates them, in order to be able to listen to the true one

I know the subject of this post is Vinco, but I can't resist to say that I've checked some Creamware's effects too now at different samplerates.
This stupid bug also exist with the effects. Just be patients, they surely are working on it.
But from now, I refuse to give to Creamware a new credit line for debugging their softwares later. I'll don't buy Creamware's products until they'll proove that they works seriously on testing and debugging by releasing properly working softwares.
We users aren't supposed to be beta testers.
