pulsar midi setup 4 vst plugin automation with Logic

could someone please send me a screenshot pic or Pulsar setup file that has the correct midi setup for VST plugin automation. I am using Logic audio 4.7 and when trying to automate vst plugins the midi(automation data) does not get recorded as with Directx and "A-B playback track" functions. Help would be much appreciated - thankyou.

Pulsar doesn't have anything to do with MIDI control of VST instruments...

Sorry, but I am talking about effects not instruments. And when you move a knob on the vst effect, it sends a MIDI signal. Now I can see this signal being activated on the Logic "midi in" within the transport bar (on "in" or "out" - one of these). Now this would tell me that my MIDI routing is not setup correctly as Logic wont record my knob movements on the "AB playback channel".
