I have been told that I have to send my Luna back to Creamware if I want the ADAT expansion fitted and it will take 3 weeks. Why can't they do some kind of exchange? You can imagine 3 weeks ending up 5 or 6. What am I supposed to do in the mean time?
Creamware go out of their way to NOT sell their stuff!!

Someone is pulling your leg or completely misinformed.

The ADAT expansion plate is simply a board which is attached to Luna via a ribbon cable. The board itself mounts next to the Luna card in an available PCI slot (although there is no PCI edge connector - it simply mounts to the backplate).

That's what thought but I have it confirmed twice by the UK distributor. There have been technical problems with some Luna Expansion boards and the Luna must be returned to Germany.
Pain or what?

I'm not quite shure (... dave my memory's fading...) but I remember a thread some time ago about a certain range of cards which have to be modified for this purpose.

cheers, Tom

I think that this is the thread you're thinking of, so it's possible that the distributor may be getting confused about the type of upgrade.

I spoke to them and they said that there has been problems with Luna expansions. I asked about an exchange but will not do it. I can't believe the poor service.
Cheers

Nothing would surprise me with Luna.

Why not just get the IO board and try it before freaking out? If it doesn't work as expected, then send the thing back. Or better yet, get Pulsar and sell that half-baked thing. I did and now my system works flawedlessly
