I finish my midiboxplus last week, and i suggest you begin with this one instead. Midibox 64 is alot more complicated.

The actual part list will depend on the board image you select. Some add features (and parts) like extra MIDI thru ports.

You might want to look at the MIDIbox Forum. You'll find lots of troubleshooting hints there.

It's not a terribly difficult project but it's a long one. Wiring all those faders does take time. Still, it's the most satisfying one I've done so far. It works great and has an unbeatable feature list.

You might want to consider the modifications required to use the Midibox64 firmware port. It adds some very valuable features to an already great controler.

Just make sure you take the time to fully understand the layout of the PC board you select compared to Thorsten's diagrams before starting anything. Where to solder parts on the boards is usualy obvious but it doesn't tell you about the connections that goes between the MIDI triggers, for example.

This is one of the most documented electronic project I've seen so far. Just take the time to read what you can find, relax and don't hesitate to post your questions on the MIDIbox forum or here and everything'll be fine.
