This would be an awesome Phaser for Modular guys, not that I don't thin k the Oakley and others we have are not. I use the Oakley and it's incredibly rich.
But I can't help but thinking how aweome would 16 All Pass FIlters with LFOs that can go into audio range would be..?

Just dreaming.

I really love phasers effects. More we have, more I'm happy.

Celmo Phaza is the one with which I always get excellent results. But a celmo Phaza in modular version would be excellentissime !

yes I have been eye-balling that and the other pittsburgh modules. I'm particularly interested in hearing if an analog delay sounds any different than a digital.
I bought a system 10 back in April. It's a perfect starter unit and i'm having a great time with it, some great sounds to be had and totally expandable.

I'm trying not to get bit too hard with the modular realm as I can see how one could go broke very quickly
and I have the Xite to keep me plenty happy.

easily done just look at the controls it has 2 8 stage phasers

each stage can have its own modulation either in the form of unipolar or bipolar cv signals

you have them in modular as with all phasers its just all pass filters

you have a 1 lfo which 2 is better

you can also invert the first 8 stages into the second lot off 8 stages

tri out and square wave out for the lfo it has a range switch and level switch

if you want higher lfo rates then all you have todo is change the control ranger in the lfo settings

also if you want a 16 output version just series 2 8 phase equinox and have a 1 to 2 switch so that you can choose if you want 8 stage or 12/16 stages

at least that way you have 2 different lfo for the phasers which would give you a lot more modulation scope

Wow thanks jHulk. I turned the Equinox into a stereo phaser, but using 2 I could get a similar effect and just need to dig into your device and study it more.

figured we'd be hearing from jhulk - the modular master phaser builder. That equinox is a killer patch.

the mutron biphase is a lot more like the pitsburg modular one

but has a few more options switched mono/stereo

i have this already built along with some other designs

frequency shifter and a pitch shifter

a j haible design dual svf filters in series with a 6 stage phaser after wards which is really cool

as you get to do filter modulation tricks before the phaser

plus a few new osc designs

and a couple of synths i will be releasing these shortly

a stereo version is easily done with the equinox just have 2 of them in parallel run left signal through one and the right signal through the other and set each one to start at a frequency rate to the other and set a different modulation rate which will give it lots of movement

if you want a mono input but the same stereo output take the mono input ito to a panner then take the left and right to each equinox the take a lfo and modulate the panner for some great stereo effects
