LoFi Effects

Post by dawman »

I have an urgent need to get some MegaPhone/LoFi vocal effect, similar to Joe Walsh's Rocky Mountain Way.
I have tried everything and cannot seem to isolate that sound.
Tried Graphics EQ, Interpole, HPF, LPF.

Anyone have a better idea than this..?

Thanks

distortion or overdrive and a combination of hi-pass and low-pass(or a steep bandpass filter).
megaphones are all mid-range....

Advice was correct as usual, but I didn't even need the distortion, just the SpaceF MIDI FIlter and a pair of Multi Filter inserts.
BCM Modular as usual is a killer Multi Effects unit.
A few 256k II delay modules for a 4 voice Unison effects like the TC Helicon and HD 5000 Eventide Harmonizers.

Thanks Chief.....
