No directsound drivers in windows XP?

Just upgraded from windows ME to windows XP and installed SFP 3.1a and now I'm missing the directsound software drivers. Is it normal not to have directsound drivers in windows XP, or am I missing something?

No, it's normal you don't have it. DirectSound in w2k and XP is at kernel level, so using wave driver, is like using dx. Same for wdm.
