Scope 4.5 Win7 32bit playback devices

Post by Slash47 »

Hi all,

I'm trying to set up Scope 4.5 in Win7 32bit. It used to work but after a clean install I can't get the cards - Creamware Scope, big Pulsar and a small Pulsar PCI cards - to show up under 'playback devices' anymore. Can anyone think of something I might be doing wrong? Everything shows up fine in the device manager and within Scope itself and there aren't any IRQ channels being shared or anything.

(I'm a noob with these cards so please be gentle :D I know Win7 isn't supported but it worked on the previous install so I'm just missing something...)

Thx!

well, v4.5 doesn't really work properly in win7. Creamware made v4 and they went out of business. when that happened Vista had only just been released. Creamware never made vista/win7/win8 software or drivers. you would need to purchase v5.1 from SonicCore to use the cards with win7.

Could it be that you haven't added Wave Source and Dest modules to your startup project?

garyb, I tried to disclaimer that, but thanks for the warning.

w_ellis, that could've very well been it. Turns out all that was needed was making the disabled playback devices visible and enabling them once Scope Platform had started, doh... All seems well now, playing some music as we speak!

Thanks for the replies!
