Profit, Minimax audio issue

Post by diegomaggi »

!Hola Everyone!
probably someone of you super-scope-guys can help me:
With some synths (Profit5, Minimax) when I save a project and then re-opne it, I can't hear
anything (but the MIDI incoming messages are ok, using the MIDI display).
Then I delete the synth, open another one (Inferno, Vector) and everything is ok.
But If I try to reopen Profit5 or Minimax, the do not play.

Midichannel, audio routing, everyhting is ok. Routing directly to an out (digital or analog),
or thru a mixer, the big one, the small one, the valve one. nothing.
Changing the poliphony: nothing.

This issue is with: Profit5, Minimax, Lightwave, Six String
Everything seems to be ok with: Inferno, miniscope(s), Zarg syhnths, Odissey, Bluesynth, B2003

Any idea?
Tnx in advance!

Did you try to set the MIDI channel from within the synth (and not the floating window?)

Can you assign these manually to the dsp's and check if you get the same behaviour?

You can also try changing sample rate to something else, then back to your original. This resets all the DSPs.

@jksuperstar: nothing again :( also restarting the PC...

@fra77: on an old Creamware 15+15 DSP. I'm not an'X-tie1 owner. Right-clicking it only appears an "hide" window.

Then i can't think something. With software 5.1 you can assign the devices on specific dsps, but the old dsps can't handle much..

I'm using 5.1, with 36 DSPs, and it's only 45% of the whole DSP power, I don't think it is a problem of DSP power...
Something wrong with .dll, .bin, .dev or other .stuff in the labyrinthic Scope-folder?

I'm only guessing here. It's not a problem of dsp amount but of the communication. Sometimes i doesn't reloads well because a device is spanned across different dsps and on reloading it doesn't do it well. I doubt it's a problem of some other file.
You can try lower the voices to 1 before saving and check the behaviour. Then raise the voices as you like. Just a workaround.

When weird things like that happen to me, i reinstall the Scope software and it usually fixes the problem. Just a suggestion, and make sure you back up just in case.

I've tried to lower to 0, save the project and then reopen and increment. Nothing.
Re-install solve the problem for the very first time. Then it represents again.

Also try changing presets. That fixed a mute Minimax for me.

recreate the project? Does it loads "broken" on every situation?
