I intend purchasing a new mobo. Considering the price/power ratio, the motherboard Gigabyte 7-VRXP seems a good solution to me. I intend buying Hyperos 2002 release 6 to blow out OS problems and work with different tuned.
But...The Gigabyte 7-VRXP is made with the VIA KT333 chipset. I know that VIA KT133 cause problems with Creamware cards, and VIA KT266 too (don't know about KT266A). Is VIA KT333 better than the precedents VIA chipsets for use with Creamware cards?
I know Intel chipsets are supposed to be better than VIA chipsets generally (don't know for the VIA KT333), but if the KT333 can give me 90% of what an Intel chipset gives, I'll found it acceptable considering the power/price ratio of the entire system. Will it be a workable solution?

Anyone has opinions on this subject? Thanks.

Well after examining the architecture of the new chipset/motherboards, I think you'll be out of luck, because the design is still essentially the same as the kt266a, the northbridge has changed to accomadate a new type of memory, but the southbridge is still almost exactly the same. They need a radical motherboard redesign to solve the problem.
They may have made some ground with their new pentium 4 motherboard.
But unfortunately you cannot escape the fact that to produce cheap boards, they cut corners. Sorry....I know how you feel, I would like to have a stable powerful athlon system, instead of the tempermental piece of crap i have here (athlon). So thats y i'm selling to go to P4.
