Pressure - monosynth (can be used polyphonically too)
Pressure - monosynth (can be used polyphonically too)
Extremely simple sawtooth polysynth made with sharc's BC modular. It's a simple 2 osc subtractive mono which can be used polyphonically with as many voices as you like. By default I've set it to 5 voice, but you can raise the voice count without eating up too much dsp power.
Note: You DO NOT need to install sharc's BC modular to use this, although if you want to expand, alter or improve the patch, then installing BC modular would be advisable.
UPDATE: This download is a brand new version dated 30 June and it fixes two bugs: a messed up ENV1 sustain parameter and an LFO rate parameter which didn't save with presets because of a bug in the BC modular Tiny Sine LFO. sharc has made me a new Tiny Sine LFO and this device contains it. For BC modular users the new LFO will be in sharc's next BC mod update or if you need it sooner contact sharc and he'll give it to you directly.
IMPORTANT: Old presets are no good, sorry. You'll have to create a new preset list and new presets because using the old presets would re-introduce the messed up sustain parameter.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
Re: Pressure - modular mono/poly synth
It sounds better on channel 7!next to nothing wrote:Thanks, looking forward to test this
If people struggle to get sound and are unfamiliar with bc modular, the MVC module is set to channel 7 by default
Re: Pressure - modular mono/poly synth
Thanks simple is good sometimes..will check it out

That's what I 'wowed'Shroomz~> wrote:I'll make the BC Modular based synth patch into a cool standalone Scope device when I have time.
thanks Schroomz, looking out for it

Looks like I was too slow for this one...... I wouldn't mind trying the "work in progress" version if you were to re-post it. I like your other work very much. Thank you for contributing so much to the Scope community.
Re: Pressure - monosynth (can be used polyphonically too)
Thanks for the kind words. I haven't had time to test or work on it any more, but feel free to try it if you like and please let me know how you get on with it if you do try it -53E7 wrote:Looks like I was too slow for this one...... Re: Pressure - monosynth (can be used polyphonically too)
Let me know how you get on mate. It's obviously a very simple synth, but that's what it was supposed to be. The idea was to get as much sound as possible using as little dsp as possible.dawman wrote:I'll try it too thanks.
I was playing with it last night for a few hours and had one crash, but modular always used to do that to me know and again as well as the old crashing/freezing Scope thing sometimes when you first load the modular device. No big deal as long as you remember to save your project before loading it.
Re: Pressure - monosynth (can be used polyphonically too)
Hey Shroomz.
I got the BC Modular to respend to every knob except the very first one on Encoder Group 1 as I changed it's number to 0.
But I have loaded it, then loaded the 2 different presets, and I get no sound.
But I am going to continue tweaking it.
But this is exactly how I use the BCF 2000 only I use Standalone Mode not USB, but this patch already has taught me valuable info.
I shall keep twisting around and see why it is silent.
I have attached a meter to it and a MIDI Monitor (externally) and no signal even when I twise knobs, etc.
So I am sure it's something simple.
Nice of you to share this, will get back now that I have the house to myself...

It's probably just the midi channel Jimmy. Make sure you've got that set up right!
