32 bit Float
32 bit Float
I'm thinking about switching to 32 bit float in Cubase (from 24 bit). The Scope manual says that more bits will use more DSP power. I have 9 DSP chips. Will this really be an issue? I'm using Scope for mixing only and generally don't use a lot of the DSP load.

I guess the best thing would be to just try it on a couple of different projects. I don't think the Scope 32 bit ASIO modules will use up a lot more dsp than the 24 bit modules, but can't say for sure.
But while on the subject of bit depth i came across a very good article that explains things so much better than I can, and it is definitely worth a read anyway as it also covers other related matters.

More KHZ uses more DSP power. Bit width doesnt seem to make much difference on my system.

Recording at 32float should not effect DSP in Scope at all.
Been recording in 32float for 10 years now (Samplitude) with no impact on Scope DSP.
