Well, I´m not so uber-happy w/ MIDIOX, especially because it crashes SCOPE 5.1 w/ XITE when I forget to close SCOPE before I close MIDIOX.
I also find it CPU intensive when creating a lot of connections in MIDIOX because each 2 ports create a new driver.
It´s the, for me, only solution for the time being,- but I´d like to get rid of it too.

For the others using Copperlan here,- which ethernet switches are you using ?
Managed or unmanaged ones ?
I think of Netgear ProSave GS-108E, unmanaged, stackable

Does "stackable" mean I could cascade 2 of these,- beginning w/ a 8 port and it expansion is needed buy another one and connect ?
I might run out of ports soon, depending on count of devices retrofitted w/ Alyseum ALeX.

You can work around that by re-opening Scope THEN close MIDIOX works for me.

Yeah,- but I´m tired of the word "workaround" !!!!!
That´s why I refurbish my old gear for the 1st time and after more than a quarter of century,- it always worked (except wear parts) and not only "around" ...
Ideally, it should print money when being switched on and not stealing lifetime

The SCOPE stuff is dead on stable until one of the other Windows apps shoot it,- the workaround is de-install that crap.
Can´t wait for SCOPE 6 w/ Copperlan embedded.

Bosone, did you give Copperlan a try? After configuring your setup you can even close the Copperlan Manager. Might be exactly what you're looking for. And since it will play together with SCOPE 6 you'll already have a part of the future now...

for now i used midiOX and loopmidi (which works in 64 bit and so it is OK with my sonar 8.5).

i auto-started both midi OX and loopmidi but since they were loading faster than SFP, i found a program called startup delayer

which delays the loading time of loopmidi (to create the virtual midi ports) and midiOX (to send the data from korg nanokontrol to both sonar and SFP)

I'm also reading that 64-bit support for MIDIox may never happen.
So as we move forward towards full-on Win8 64-bit environment, then we may get stuck.

Nevertheless I'm also looking forward to copperLAN integration -especially since I sort of introduced CL to SC at NAMM 2012

midiOX is working well in my 64 bit system with win7
i have no issues with it.

the only problem was that i initially installed midiyoke to route midi signal to sonar and midiyoke was not working in 64 bit. that's why i chose loopmidi.

my routing is:

nanokontrol -> midiOX

midiOX -> loopmidi
-> scope

loopmidi --> sonar


i had to use loopmidi because nanokontrol mididevice would not open in both sonar and midiox

It´s important info ipMIDI and rtpMIDI is TCP/IP based and Copperlan is not !!!

So, when working w/ several computers connected to a ethernet switch, the switch connected to the router/web, you´re being able to do your downloads and surfing websites,- Copperlan protects from catching virus and malware into your audio/MIDI system/machines by not being TCP/IP based.

It seems, they also work on ethernet based fast & hi data thruput audio-streaming between applications and across connected machines.
There are now also 2 new Alyseum devices supporting PoE,- so you won´t need any walwart PSUs for Alyseum devices anymore.
More to come for sure.

Also, rtpMIDI compatible hardware devices is KISSbox,- much more expensive gear than Alyseum !
