Larger Disc Buffer

Plenty errors with Logic Asio etc? Keep the Larger Disc Buffer box checked. It helps.

You can also use larger process buffer, if you DON'T use VSTi's.

But the main reason for Asio overloads in XP seems to be that Logic is not quite optimized for it yet.
In general it's better when you raise the priority level a nutch or two.

Tomorrow I'm gonna try version 5.1.3 with the newest beta of SFP, and see if I'm getting any closer to Win98se performance levels

I've never seen an Asio overload in win98 ? Except offcourse when you actually do overload your system...

I observed when I am playing back MIDI sequences together with AUDIO regions in Logic that is the only time I get this ASIO overloads. MIDI alone no problem. AUDIO alone no problem. Have any idea what is causing it?

What midi devices do you use? Are they on USB/serial/CW software/...?

Go check in Logic setting, disable software monitoring, in Audio synchronization, set it to sync on 'Free or External'

I am using a direction connection to my CW card from a Yamaha PSR 540.
