Wow, that looks fat.
But there´s one thing. I don´t believe it will be working solidly. And they have to place this OS somewhere between hard- and software - that´ll cost time, so low latency is sure a thing you can´t demand here.
I´ll stay with Bootmanagers that are capable of real disk-hiding and well configurable multiboot systems, like BootUS for example.
But: Very interresting of course. Anyone tested it ?

On the other hand - Millions of people use Windows! (aaaargh!)

If there´s a chance to test it out then i´ll do it, but i really don´t think it´s a really option.

this looks excellent, but have you used it with Pulsar in a Win98/Win2K (orXP) setup?

I'm interested because the 2 OS'es require different drivers, and yet HyperOS seems to only use one set of drivers for all OS'es:

Sounds similar to System Commander, in where you can instal more than one OS on the same partition, I don't know whether you can switch between them on the fly though.

You can use the drivers you want with the system you want. Or use the same drivers for few systems...The flexibility is there

Is it all still working OK? Have you got as far as running apps, etc, or are you still installing.
Did you go for the HyperDrive option as well? Sounds fascinating, but I'd love to hear more from you one you've got it all up and running.

I'm still installing, made some tests, bought 98lite Pro and created a 98Micro system.

I'm know trying to cut all unneeded applications and *.dll in 98 Micro. I am able to do and try ( and I'm absolutely not a programmer) that because the 98micro system is backup/restored in 10 seconds of time. So trying to cut all uneeded things is easy, if I make a bad move I can restore quickly.

For comparisons, I have an Athlon 700 system with 768 Mo PC100 SDRam, AMD chipset so no PCI issues. The hardrives are Ultra DMA 66. Image restorations are done at between 520 to 990 MB/minute, depending on the position of the hardrive partition, with this system. You can divide the times by two with a recent system.

What is cool is that each right move I'll make untill perfection is a definitive move coz it's backuped in 10 seconds for 98Micro.

Haven't use the Hyperdrive right now, I have an issue with the Dos hardrives partitions letters, coz I have a french Dos and Hyperdrive is English Dos. So when Hyperdrive says "Z", my system understand "W", that's the problem. Anyway I can solve it easily, but I'm waiting to know if they have a patch for adapting that.

When I'll have a mini 98micro working system (I think I can have a 96 MB W98 installation), I will multiply it and install different Creamware's drivers and soft.

In paralell, I have a XP generalist system for Internet stuff, CD's burning,...etc

I try to make a little XP system too, removing Internet, modem and all uneeded stuffs for audio. I have a working XP with 15 services and charging 50 MB of Ram. I'll try to improve that too. And then, multiply and install different sound drivers.

I love this soft, coz it's giving me a feeling of freedom!!!!!

Hyperos 2002 is a revolution for demanding and power users. With it, you can have a system that is tweaked AND versatile.

Well, I've installed Pulsar 3.01 and SFP3.1a in 98 and XP. These are my four first basic systems for audio in my computer.

I've cut some files (40 MB) in 98micro. The resulting little 98micro is very stable and incredibly fast.

With XP, I have an installation wich runs 15 services and charge 50 MB of Ram. This installation is also very stable and fast.

I had 1 Pulsar3 directory and 1 SFP3.1a directory in my system. These two directories are employed by all OS.

It's like I have one Scope Fusion Platform running on few different computers!!! I can now compare directly each OS and hardware configuration!

I would like to say just one thing: this soft Hyperos is an absolute killer.
