I´m keen on this Synth. Knows somebody if this synth will be released in future?
And for what costs?

Is Minimax coming as Pulsar-Scope Plugin?
Hi!
I don´t know about that, but i saw the minimax as an device they´ve run on an normal Computer (or was it a Mac?), on an betaversion of SFP or something like that on the Musikmesse in Frankfurt. So it should be possible to get it ported to SFP. But i think they won´t do that in the near future in order not to steal the NOAH it´s show...

The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Thanks for you opinion, but I think that many
Pulsar users will not buy noah. Becaus they have most of the noah stuff on the scopeplatform (vectronplayer, lightwave, etc)and there are many other good hardwaredevelopers (Virus, Waldorf,etc.).
But they don´t have minimax. So it would be nice if creamware will release this awesome
emulation of a minimoog. I would buy minimax for pulsar but I won´t buy noah.

The minimax seems to be an authentic (really!) emulation of a real minimoog. Go to creamwares´ homepage and read the description.
I think nearly anybody who produces synthezisermusic would like to own a real minimoog from the early seventies (btw the first compactsynth ever made). A used minimoog is very expensive because they´re rare.
If creamware would release this synth as a plugin for the scopeplatform I wouldn´t hesitate to buy it!

Hi!
To be honest: I didn´t have the chance to play an original moog... but i like the CW ones!
One problem is the devastating bad qualities of the CW demo sounds. The CD i´ve taken home from the CW booth at the Musikmesse is so bad that i wouldn´t have bought anything from CW if i didn´t know better (and already had some of it).
But i´ve heard some sounds at the booth that were really cool coming from the minimax, but i´m not sure if you can get the same sounds if you tweak the miniscopes a little bit. Add PsyQ and rock!

I'm sure you're right, that many (most) Pulsar users won't buy a Noah, but from the CW marketing perspective, it makes no sense to make the Noah models immediately available for the Pulsar, as this would impact the sales of the Noah, which probably has a much smaller market projection than the Pulsar anyway. On 2002-05-23 04:09, helldriver wrote:

I'm sure that some of the Noah models will find themselves moving to Pulsar/Scope at some point, but I wouldn't expect it too soon. But that's not to say that some of the lessons learned in developing Noah won't find themselves incorporated into Scope/Pulsar more quickly. Who knows.
I'm particularly interested in the Physical Modelling stuff - the plucked string stuff sounded great to me.
Cheers,
Ben
