Hi!

Can someone tell me if there´s a problem to sell some music without being a Gema member in Germany? I´m not a member, and i´ve heard this could cause some problems.
Another thing: When you ARE a GEMA-Member, are you able to set the price yourself if you want to sell some music of yours?
Or are there any other drawbacks?
Thank you in advance!

hi Chris,

that stuff is quite comlicated to answer, but you should be able to pick up a 'Keys' magazin (not the current but previous issue #5) in some shop in Hamburg. They've had a special about 'GEMA, GVL and Co'.
Unfortunately it's not on their online pages.
As a last resort I could mail you a scanned version.
cheers, Tom

Hey Astro!

Thanks for that info! I´ll buy one of that magazines today. Heh, funny thing when you´re online all the time - you almost forget the printmedia... *g*
Whoa, need a coffee.
Bye and thanks!
Chris
BTW: Astro, you´re hanging round in the EBM Scene is that right?
The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

hi Chris,

 ...hanging around... is good, occasionally I do with the support of a little rope.

look at my strange gear list

wondering how that may sound

your answer took me to enter the nick in Google - I've nothing to do with any of them - but I find the vintage stuff really appealing.
actually the link above is related to the nick. I'll have to do THAT on my visit of the US (if ever I get there).
And though I'm not specially in the scene that thing is real EBM in the true sense of the word

cheers, Tom
