Not bad at all, this one, and you know my musical preferences and taste.
Only the text part at the end is too serious to my taste, but in a theatre setting it could work.

I hope I will survive the European clash, the riots and the nuclear war following, if only to say you was right after all.
But I won't reckon on it if I was you...about the being right part that is.

checking out aftermath:

pretty chill compared to the other ones! almost bossanova like. dense chords are nice, tasteful dissonance, but I can take a lot of dissonance, maybe dissonant for some. I like that there are not too many elements in the arrangement. A nice lean arrangement but the harmonies sound very full. Quite light on the bass line there.

Overall, I get this "time passing" kind of feel.. a lot of time. Like wind blowing sand across a desert. And you have a long, long journey, to get very, very far. Maybe a bit of feeling lost, or wandering.

lol, eh? sort of funky sax lines? Interesting lines, but that was kind of unexpected timbre in the context of things.

ah, the spoken text part. "wandering" and "lost" ahaha, I guess those really were keywords. Nicely conveyed! Pretty dark text eh. Oh, actually turns positive a bit..

Another great audio journey. I'd like to listen to all of these in one sitting. To me it's like watching a documentary almost. As before, the content to time ratio is perfect. It's just slow/vacant enough that I can draw pictures in my head or concentrate on an emotion of the moment. And I can finish listening with a feeling of good digestion. I need to learn that. My stuff tends to overload people rather quickly.

I find the harmony and melody pretty intense, so even being a mellow song it produces intense emotions inside.

This “time passing”, “feelings lost and wandering” are the exact feelings I wanted to interpret, it is nice that you’ve got it so clear in your own feelings. Music it really is a language.

There is a sax in unison along with a fused guitar, funk-jazzy they are, but pretty dramatic too.

The text is what brought up the inspiration of the song. A couple of weeks ago I was told about the bad situation in Spain and how serious it is, it is worse than informed by the news, the country is actually falling down, that saddened me for a while. The idea so, is centered in Spain because I have many friends over there I care a lot about. I was thinking about the general situation and the possible outcome of it all for them, and then I imagined how it would be to be a father in such a state of affairs. Immediately some images came to me like if it was real, it was scary and painful. I saw a man of about 35 years of age living in one of the many urban Spanish areas with his wife and two children, a typical middleclass man that has lost his job a long while ago like most people at this time, (we are talking about 5 years time from now, so about 2017, that’s my feeling). There were very few supplies available in the city at a very expensive price, and due to hard revolts his family and himself were isolated, without electricity, gas, forced to wander the streets in the search for their basic needs. Sort of a civil war was going on with the explosion of some massive riots in the streets, so streets were destroyed and dirtiness was all around while most rich houses, supermarkets and food supply related houses were looted, that is why the poem says “colors have turned to gray”. The scene of the song happens at night, at his home, while there is bad weather and their windows are broken due to the riots, they hang together searching some warmth from each other while his children ask him what is going on, but he himself do not have any answers. He feels powerless and wonders about how on earth this happened, the most difficult thing to believe for him, is the speed at which all these came to be. Yes, definitely a dark text.

Loved the first track sort of like ELP meets Chick Corea played by Jordan Rudess ! well Jordan has covered ELP and that's what this reminder me of and in the first few seconds. Very full sound, I wouldn't mind some sort of rundown of gear/instruments used for ScopeRise, assuming its heavily Scope oriented.

Well done!

Great writing and playing, I agree w/ Wayne stay positive, but I remember your reminder of our fragility in that massive Chilean Earthquake, so I cannot judge, but only listen.

Cheers Scopus, I’m glad you liked it, I enjoyed making it too, particularly the second track because of the bass lines :P

Dante…, that was a funny comment… Well, the guitar went through Adern Mojo, the bass through Celmo’s BAM, I use both virtual amps in scope constantly for every track I make, the rest, I’m afraid that this time were all VST instruments, with the addition of a few real instruments as well as a few electricity, statics and short-circuits samples used in the first track. What I hope, is to have done a better job in terms of mastering, lately I got really serious interest in making the best possible output for the final mix.

Hi Wayne, don’t worry about me, I feel pretty well after all. :) You ask me “what are you trying to do here”, I would describe it as: "channeling the strongest impressions I feel about life into music". I need to look at the beauty as well as the ugly in life without running away from either of both, because they are all part of it and it is good to reach some understanding. If I don't understand my feelings, I don't understand myself, and to be able to understand myself the first exercise I need to do is to pay attention to what is going on inside myself with honestly and without hiding or trying to run away from myself, I like facing life and myself as much as I can stand.

The process would be something like that: When I feel strong emotions I make music because it releases me from those feelings that overcome me becoming something else that I can understand emotionally speaking. These feelings, when channeled, transform themselves into something I can handle very well and live with. There are, of course, strong beautiful feelings, ugly feelings, sadness, anger, etc., I channel them all through music

Feelings are like gross food, I take one of them, cook it, eat it and finally I digest the upshot and even defecate what’s of no use, so to say. The process is exactly like I describe it here for me, and it makes me feel better immediately after the conclusion of the song, it really is a digestive emotional process. I think many people experience the same thing writing what they feel through poetry or other forms of written art. Some others do it through oil painting for instance. If you look at history, there have always been before important historical happenings in the world, poets, musicians, painters, creative thinkers and writers that had brought the future facts in advance, in the form of a story or something like that. I am fine but the world it is not. For the moment many will look at what I express as craziness, then you will see that it was simply, real life.

Hi Dawman, no worries my friend, I accept humbly your words and your ideas, :) we are friends and I like to listen to what all of you have to say.

What I feel is like love. You can say to someone, “hey, don’t love anymore”, but this is impossible, it is beyond yourself, you will love even if it takes your life. There are emotional things in life that happen by themselves and that are so compelling that have the strength to force you to express, behave or do things in a particular way.

If I would not sing the song I feel while walking this path which is life, I would die within myself, I need to sing to keep alive.
