Celmo Tape Echo Simulator - which device?

Re: Celmo Tape Echo Simulator - which device?
it's the users that understand what Scope is that are the greatest resource. they have kept Scope going by themselves. i know i'm one of them.
advertising is encouraging others.
please advertise. everyone benefits. Scoperise is a perfect example, as is PZ. PZ is the reason for the other resources and the users are the biggest resource of all. how do you think i really learned about the whole system if not for the users around me? i still only know a small fraction of what's involved in the whole thing, from idea to my working studio.
i'd love it if someone with the resources could do the monumental job of getting everything in one place, with videos!(personally)
actually, with v6, Scope is opened. there is certainly an infrastructure, but what do you expect a handful of people to do? when does Scope get developed? how do things get shipped and tested? who handles the paperwork? there's what would be really cool, and there's what can be done. i'm feeling fortunate that Holger is so serious about moving forward.

Re: Celmo Tape Echo Simulator - which device?
Dante: you should make an article about celmos tape echo! Its such a versatile an creative plug!! Do you own it? I could send you 30 usd over paypal, to support the article
I agree on the framework idea! But i also understand that the sc group is not large and probably not webadmins, so they would require external help to get it up and running.
However a page like universal audio webshop is doing great for the sale, and i belive that internet is actually the main marketing place for scope! And with out a proper dress, scope will loose a lot of potential customers.

Re: Celmo Tape Echo Simulator - which device?
that's correct, but the reality is "do you want Scope or the ads for Scope?" S|C cannot do both.
i'll bet that UAD spends more on that cool web presence than S|C spends on it's whole operation.
chicken or the egg, which came first? oh, i'm sorry, UAD was well capitalized to begin with. with enough money, i'll make a lever big enough to move the world!!!

Hello,
I totally agree! we dont want banners.. but good software!
I am not on facebook, but around 1 billion are, so how is the facebook page doing? small activities using social media .. like a twitter stream..
Youtube page.. doing small demos, or getting us to do small demos would be so efficient and neat.. the fact is that SC's weakest point of competence is marketing
. They could be using use us heavily
and as blind followers we could have done so much for free!

Re: Celmo Tape Echo Simulator - which device?
Try his Starfleet Mixer w/ Built in Stereo EchoReq 2.0 which is another reverb/slash emu of the old 3U Ursa Major Spacestation, but you need 2 x in serial with different lengths amd speed + Color. Very good effect and small mixer to boot.
But using a few Tape Delays in Mod IV is IMHO the best controllable and sounding Dealy, especially is driven by audiorate modulations of Silentway Suite 2.1.

Starfleet looks interesting..I would love Echo 35 hope Space F opens his store again!
Re: Celmo Tape Echo Simulator - which device?
Already started the article (and yes I own the device) since I posted the idea above.ehasting wrote:Dante: you should make an article about celmos tape echo! Its such a versatile an creative plug!! Do you own it? I could send you 30 usd over paypal, to support the article

Send Celmo the 30USD or buy more of his devices and send me a review. I need to cover more of his stuff (as well as completing the delay review), so if anyone owning any more of his devices wants to write something up with a pic or two I'll publish in ScopeRise for sure.
Re: Celmo Tape Echo Simulator - which device?
I'm bound to 'other' writing atm, and have mentioned the feature long ago...
but just in case: set to insane bpm figures (say above 600... it can go up to 2400) it's a funky room reverb
(faking some vintage noisy stuff)
and of course it can do feedback, lots of it, so heavy comb filtering may apply
(that is ... for those with any hair left...)
cheers, Tom
