if i became one who takes advantage of other's and lives only for my own pleasure, i'd be forced to shoot myself. i have more self respect than that.
don't label me because i know what i look like. i don't wear beads or style my hair.
actually, i like a lot of people who call themselves hippies, but quite a large group of those who are called hippies are folk who just want to take drugs and use other people's stuff. that's fine, but get off my lawn and put my shit down. those who make themselves useful and don't expect others to take care of them like their parents did are all right by me. it's the other crowd that hangs around them that i despise.
getting wasted in a big field and rolling in muck, having long hair, and smoking pot doesn't make you a hippy, even if you think it's a cool word. being lazy, consuming and never giving anything back, being "hip" to how to slide by and make others pay, that's a dirty, smelly, rotten hippy. get off of my lawn. there's no camping here, you no-account, shiftless, lazy, thieving bum.
