problem with win7/64 and jb synth-pack

FWIW, one could go to Windows 7 32bit and have 8GB's of RAM. Not sure how these guys are doing it though.
This means using large instruments like we see in Kontakt can be converted to NCW ( lossless audio ) and the 8GB RAM " limitation " might only need 5GB's.
I cannot do this, but I know more than one guy who uses a laptop at the gig, and went from x64 back to x86 after converting their samples to NCW.
They don't use Scope but I envy their small portable laptop sampler.
This way Solaris and Prowave could be used again.
But it also means that Orchestral Instruments that are ridicuosly large and inappropraite for realtime work, like PLAY cannot be used effecively.
FWIW I have LASS for strings, and it's all NCW now and sounds great, takes up 55% less RAM, and if you use custom Instrument Banks, one can use a 4-6GB template that includes Orchestral, Electro-mechanical and acoustic all at once.
I actually use PianoTeq Pro and have no need for large RHodes, Grand Pianos, or Wurlitzers in samples anymore. The RAM PTeq uses is incredibly small.

Thanks Gary (and everyone else) - I've been too busy to contact John about this, but would be very glad to have my Solaris working in win7 64bit if it's possible. It's the only fly in an otherwise perfect ointment.

okay nice, now we know that it would probably be good to have a working solaris synth on win7/64 "soon". what's the next steps. is john allready working on it, does he know of the problem, or is there again just a call for patience?
Are we going to kindly ask somebody, to maybe spend some time, some day to take a look at the issue, to evaluate may be how long it will take to fix and what the release year would be?...Sorry, I need facts now, I'm not enjoying this uncertainty. No facts, ie. fix date - I'm going to return the "synth pack" to sonic core.

it's in progress. the word is out and i think it'll get handled.
it's something that John doesn't do, and there have been so many pressing issues that it just hasn't gotten done. i've expressed the importance of doing this now. i will keep on it, there has been discussion today.

finally, we have the needed sysfiles.

they will be uploaded to the ftp server, but for now here they are.
i've tested almost all the Zarg synths and the Solaris sequencer, so i think everything seems to be in order. please let me know if there are issues.

If using the STM 2448, load Solaris, then assign it to DSP 7.
After that immediately clear the DSP Assignment.
I also noticed as I raised the voices Solaris climbed up a few places in the Live Bar,
so I drug to the very top.
Raised it up to 8 Voices and remember the beautiful sound from the cards, but it is
much prettier now.
The same Sys. files seem to help QWave and ProWave also.
Prowave is great for live work, Solaris and QWAVE ARE FOR RECORING AS THE
PARAMETERS TAKE WAY TOO LONG IN A LIVE VENUE, BUT THE SOUND IS TO DIE FOR.

Thats interesting. Does that imply a relationship between the order in which devices load in the project to the order in which they appear in the live bar (top devices loads first, bottom device loads last) ?
