I went to see the episode II today, I can't make up my mind about whether I like it or not.
It had some really excellent bits; Yoda's sword skils, but some wooden dialogue.
What do you guys think?

I think the production is fantastic, but the story/plot/dialoge sucks.

i was rather 'interested' to go and watch the movie, but it's a bit like SFP... lot's of people wanna bite at the same time. i might go next week, in the early afternoon, without the queues...

so you think it was so so? i just saw a completely computer animated scifi movie on DVD, that was funky. real nice.

I just got back from it.

NICE!
the love interest was cheesy at best, but it had to be done.

some corny lines thru the movie made me laugh.

the action was top-notch CGI!!
REALLY REALLY GOOD>

all in all if you ever had the chance to read the comics about the clone wars this won't dissapoint ya.
the next one will be the CLONE WARS.. as Yoda says at the end of the show the clone wars have begun

for those that perhaps don't know all the background the story will jump around .

But in the end I liked it.

You know I think the critics were really a bit hard on the first film, I actually quite enjoyed it, I mean ok it was aimed at kids, but they still did quite a good job of maintaining an interest for older people.

I like the dark aspect of the second film, fight scenes were definitely good.

Another 3 years for episode III
What are the odds a new type of pulsar card will be out by then?

Saw it last night. Very entertaining. Better than last one. Maybe the best episode to date.

But... the flying R2 thing? What's up with that? Where did that come from? Maybe in the next episode C3PO will have lasers shooting out of his eyes

I thought the sound fx were alright, I think they made some attempt at not falling into the 'sound doesn't travel in a vacuum' trap, particularly when in came to the scene with in the asteriod field.

I was a bit dissapointed with the music score, I didn't notice anything new, some of the orchestration had changed, but in episode I he added a whole new theme, I expected this movie to be the same.

As for R2D2's 'antigrav boosters' I think they call that 'artistic liciense'
Common they had to have something for the kids!

I've always been curious to know how they make R2's sound effects. They have quite a distinctive quality even by today's standards. Does anyone know?

as for R2's sound effects "cosmic commando" had a track called welcome home R2 on it.
And it was the R2 sound but I never found out what synth was used ;-(
