looking at your modular design

i would have had 4 vca and then the control input controlled by a vector mixer

is there not a vector mixer control out put module in modular that way the vca are the cross fades

whats wrong with the wave osc

i thought they fixed them in modular 4

I don;t know. I have little patience, I am like a child. I do know Solaris' WAV Oscillators work so I will use those, until Scope 6 allows Vectron to use WAV samples as user waves w/o constraints of wav size, etc.
Modular has issues with RAM I believe, It;s why the Tape Delay has troubles when too many are used.......
Just speculation on my part, but there is a pattern concerning the memory on the DSP chips which is 64MB's each, and only on the backside of the AD21369 series.

i have done you 2 folders wit hsingle cycle wave forms

1 set is from some fairlight vox samples which are produced by its additive engine

the other folder is a 128 snippets of a transwave

just load them up into the wave viewer of vectron and set to the size of the single cycle waveform then save in the user section using what

ever name you like i find it hard to name things i run out of ideas so i end up with just using wxx

https://rapidshare.com/files/1504296998 ... tra_256.7z

https://rapidshare.com/files/3820081411 ... samples.7z

use them in vectron a gift from me and for any one else that wants to use them in vectron

all i ask is that people provide new patches for every one

and when i get time i will start to convert my prophet vs collection of patches

Gee Thanks m8, just recieved the Spectra and D50 txt. files from JBowen for Solaris, he is all excited about the Spectra, says it adds breath to Solaris......
I shall try what you suggested above and then post presets if it works...

I can drag and drop the wav's from the folder to the WEx ( wave Extractor ) but I have no idea how to transfer that wave to anywhere. A preset dialog popped up which I haven;t seen before so I stored it, and then went back to wave selection and I couldn't find it in the user area, so Astroman to the rescue....

when i saw the bundle for the zarg instruments i thought yes

but its a shame that they did not do it the same way as the das plugs i have a few of the bowen stuff

and hate buying doubles

all i wanted was the solaris as i have most of the others the first time round

and its tipical i have many synths being sold on the bay at that finish tonight but after 12 oclock

so my paypal account will not have enough funds and also my works credit card for buying synths and for parts it has enough but need to buy parts for customers machines

they always do this to me the offers are always just befor chrismas when all my money goes on the kids and always the first month when no one has any money left as they spent january money in december going overboard

ill be buying some das stuff as i dont have some of his high eq

i got the pulteq emulation thats sweet i have 2 diy hardware versions with the sowter transformers on theinputs and landyl on the out puts

and the dsp version is very close fat sound

i have both of the nev emulation eq to and diy hardware versions

whats the legend like have you got that plug

my next sample sets are going to be transients samples of my sy99 2 fm voices with 2 wave osc that are the modulators for the fm carriers

im going to do them so that there is 1 second of wave data for the transients so that you can use the other osc as sustained waveforms

what roms are you interested in next kawai k1 k4

take it into the wave extractor then drag accross the wave so that it envelopes the wave file then once that is done it will show the wave in wave view then save that in the user wave slot once you have done that it will be in the user waves location if i remember corectly there are 100

i dont have my scope on at the moment so i cant check it ill turn it on in a minute and let you know

Thank you very much!

Here is the 100 fairlight waves. For those not familiar, you can load the preset file from wavecreate screen. Its the original waves plus the fairlight ones.

(haven't done this before so if anyone can check it for me it would be nice)

A little tutorial for those in need:

1. open wave extractor (left hand, "WeX"), also open "wavecreate" screen
2. drag and drop sample from your folder into wex
3. in the wex window, click and hold mousebutton and move it around just a little bit (NOT in the draw window) and the waveform will pop up in the draw window.
4. under "wave rename/store", there are three fields; "edit name" (self explanatory), "Store to loc (left-click and drag mouse to change preset slot to empty slot) and "overwrite (should say "empty" if you are not overwriting anything).
5. once the name is given, click "store".
6. Save preset (NOT synth preset but wave preset).

yep thats the way i do it

but you were fast at adding them to the user waves

have you done the second file yet

at least it saves me having to do it now

so that i can create more from my transwaves

how about 3000 from my uwave and wave

if i can impliment the transwave osc with the new open sdl

i think i will retire my wave and get an xite1 and money towards a solaris or should i do it the other way round

I am extremely happy with this.
The D50 waves should be awesome too.
NTN and JHULK are the latest contribution warriors, and Vectron has suddenly come to life.
I am making presets now but look forward to more from NTN and JHULK.
These are very powerful wav's and sound better than the stock ones.
Combined with Solaris...........they rule.
I am repregramming all Vibrato LFO's to be used via ATouch, that way the ModWheel can bring in Vectrons Volume.
This is the device I will use, no more wasting time with my weak Modular attempts, even though they sounded pretty sweet due to the FIlters.
I'll just make sure Filters from Solaris are used if resonance is the sound I am seeking.

Thanks Soi Much GUys.
I am all over this all day long.
I wont eat, Ill ignore the wife and kid as IEM's are a great way to incorporate selective hearing.....

As a Fizmo owner I would say that would be pretty interesting to do next.

here is the ppg upper wavetable transwave

https://rapidshare.com/files/882219265/ ... vetable.7z

and jimmy i sent the raw version to john for the solaris

any sounds you have made with the fizmo using wave modulation

i can make a transwave with

sample f3 for 1-2 secs sweeping the transwave from wave zero to 128 no fx
or any modulation or pitch modulation apart from the transwave modulation

and i will make a transwave from it and make the spectra available for vectron or any sample

from any synth as long as you sample in f3 if you want to have perfect tune then detune to -24 cents

and now for something completely different

jimmy tried out the multi cycle text files for your solaris yet i want you wow facter on them

virus wavetables any one

I am stoked........ :o
I now have Vectron on the ModWheel, 2 x Walforfs on the Solaris, then using the Ribbon to control the Volume of 2 x Jaws Oscillators which actually are very FAT/powerful Supersaws /w 7 waves each.
I use the ancient Full Panning by Shayne White which beats regular autopan weakness, and CC16 from Solaris' Joystick moves the Panning, so I got shit flying in from every angle, when and how I want.

Thanks Both Of You Guys.

a slight alteration to point 3 of the tutorial
next to nothing wrote:A little tutorial for those in need:

1. open wave extractor (left hand, "WeX"), also open "wavecreate" screen
2. drag and drop sample from your folder into wex
3. 'alt-double-click' into the Wave-Extractor's bottom area will hilite a faint blue region of 'block size' as in the edit box.
this highlighted section is immediately taken to the Wave Create display and you can play and tweak it in both screen areas
4. under "wave rename/store", there are three fields; "edit name" (self explanatory), "Store to loc (left-click and drag mouse to change preset slot to empty slot) and "overwrite (should say "empty" if you are not overwriting anything).
5. once the name is given, click "store".
6. Save preset (NOT synth preset but wave preset).
cheers, Tom
