you probably read that 'test' by me in in the tech stuff section...
I put a PCIe to PCI slot converter into an Asus P67 board with known bad PCI performance.
It didn't change anything, at best a 30% improvement... failed on the 4th instead of 3rd MV or so...
But it recovered faster from the error, that for sure :D

why don't you just forget about it - PCI doesn't work well on 'modern' boards.
Give it a trusted home and run the 64bit bla bla bla DAW via Adat connection... much simpler ;)
A Micro ATX board doesn't need more space than this box.

cheers, Tom

well...i've built a new DAW system a while ago:

- Asrock X58 Deluxe3 / i7 950 / 3 x PCI DSP boards (64 PCI clockcycles in BIOS set)
- Scope 5.1 on Windows 7 / 64bit
- 'Scope Tweaks' done (http://sonic-core.net/joomla.soniccore/ ... 56&lang=us)
- 9 Masterverbs + 64 channels of ASIO-2

I haven't tested yet how much Masterverbs this system can handle without the PCI bus being stressed by running also 64 channel ASIO-2 audiostreams simultaneously...

adios

vascomusic, I know you had an asrok x58. that was my second choice after the gigabyte and i unfortunately choose the gigabyte.
we absolutely need to know the details about your system!! :)
i remember i tried to contact you in the past but i got no answer.

please do a masterverb test and post in the tech section!

this board could solve a lot of problems!

Hi Bosone,

Gigabyte also was my first choice, but because of unavailability of a specific model, i was forced to go with the Asrock X58 Deluxe3.

I will do a masterverb test today and post the results it in the tech section.
I'll keep you posted..
