Timeworks Compressors

Post by Music Manic »

I really love the old Timeworks Compressors built for scope. They give a lot of transparent power.
I use them on my master inserts.

I was wondering if they have an auto gain programmed into them because it certainly sounds like it. Are they buss compressors

Comparatively how do other compressors compare when it comes to buss compression. I find Optimaster very different to Timeworks compressors.

Does Scope have anything that competes with timeworks?

Thanks

you're talking about the Mastering Compressor ? (my favourite device for that purpose)
the 'vintage' series had cross-dsp-loading problems, needs additional care in use.
Developers overlooked the problem with many of those early devices - was declared un-fixable.
(but doesn't apply to the MasterComp afaik)

cheers, Tom

Yes I meant the Mastering Compressors Tom.

Thanks for pointing that out.
