The HDMI cable supplied by SC for my XITE is a little short for my setup. Before I buy a longer one is there anything specific about this cable I need to know? E.g. 1.3/1.4, particular quality/speed?
Prices seem to range from very cheap to very expensive!!!!! the guy in my local shop said the expensive ones were just ripping people off. Thought I'd get a second opinion.

Re: HDMI cable for XITE
For digital stuff, I've never had any problems with cheap cables (as long as it's the right type of cable...like you can't substitute an audio RCA for SPDIF).
Typically, HDMI does NOT need a choke on the cable either (the big bubble usually found on a cable near one of the connectors), especially in the case of S|C's use of the cable to transmit PCIe. Try to find a HDMI v1.3 or v1.4 cable if possible (they are rated for higher bandwidth). They should be the most common type found.

cheap cables often have poor fitting connectors which can make trouble. there's nothing wrong with INEXPENSIVE.....

thanks for the info. Just wanted to check. Good to know about the bandwidth with 1.3 and 1.4
