Hi
In Reference to the new 3.1 drivers...
Can anyone report on whether the wave offset problem still exists for WDM driver in sonar ?
Also i have heard their is no big mixer anymore. Is it possible to save the devices from an old install and keep using it ?

Sonar wave offset & Big Mixer question....
you should be able to do this. FM One is not installed either, but it works just fine in SFP (2.04 device, i think)On 2002-05-14 17:07, Rattler wrote:

Under Win98
My personal experience shows that the Big Mixer is not working well with SFP installed.
It doesn't matter if you use it with Pulsar 3.01 or with SFP.
Using SONAR XL was necessary to diminish to -10dBfs the input gain of the mixer for to avoid saturation in normalized signals.
Also it sounds "different" , in my opinion worsts than under Pulsar 3.01.
I have done an A-B comparisson and althoug the STM 16/32 sounds good under SFP, the Big Mixer has an evident problem of calibration and sound quality.
Uninstallig SFP and reinstalling Pulsar 3.01 alone (drivers 1.50) the Big Mixer returns to it's very good sound qualty.
Also I have real problems with the graphic interface of SFP for moving devices or objects with the mouse under SFP in contrary than with ver 3.01.
Personally I found the STM16/32 as a poor replacement of the Big Mixer, without forgetting all the valid critics that many people have for it.
Creamware proposed solution:
If you want a professional mixer, buy the Pro Pack.
Simple eh!
What do you think
