i recently purchased a gigabyte MoBo with 1366 socket but the PCI performances are very poor (6-7 masterverb test, no possibility to use SFP 5.1 ambient / plate reverbs)
since i would like ot have 3 PCI slots, is anyone using the asrock x58 ?
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?M ... %20Deluxe3
it was my other choice but i chose gigabyte.
now, in the near future, i may thing about changing the MoBo but i have to be 100% sure that it will work!
anyone uses the asrock x58 xd?
Re: anyone uses the asrock x58 xd?
check for a new bios. in recent times, gigabyte has had to go through a few revisions before things worked right, at least with some of the other motherboards.
i do believe that someone had used the asrock successfully. asrock is definitely a second tier manufacturer, though.

Hi Bosone,
A while ago i was looking for the Gigabyte EX58-UD4 (because of the 3 x PCI slots).
Unfortunatelly, i failed to order it on the internet (2011). This motherboard was only released in Asia and Australie (a.f.a.i.k.).
After all these struggles, i ordered the Asrock Deluxe3, keeping in mind that it could be less in quality compared to Gigabyte, but i'm still very surprised the way this motherboard performs. Also the BIOS features are nice.
Using an Intel i7 950, 6GB RAM, RAID 0 (3 disks), Windows 7, Cubase 5, trying to reach it's capacity max, recording as much as possible (24bit/44.1khz) mono audio tracks....i got bored and quit trying after adding 800 tracks + recording simultaneously
This motherboard runs very stable and also SCOPE does a very nice job on it.
Sante !
