Do the Scope boards emit phantom power?
Thanks

Re: MIDI Phantom power
There's no standard for phantom power over midi. The signal isn't differential, it's a loop, so there's no "phantom" power riding on signal lines. Usually they take advantage of the two unused pins, or make use of a 7pin connector.
What gear are you connecting it to...a foot pedal? You can make a box that inserts power onto the extra two lines for about two dollars. Just match the pinout of your pedal (Lexicon?).

Unless you just want to use a MIDI splitter, merger or 1x4 output multiplier. They don't need special power, they just draw the power from the MIDI signal itself.

Hi Jk
I want to use something like this:

Will it work?
Re: MIDI Phantom power
Yep eliminating the wall wart from FX pedals is a great idea, Digitech did it w/ the Control One and the Digitech 2112 head unit. But I'd imagine thats proprietory so you would only be able to use that w/ something from the same manufacturer - in your case the RP93s. You'd at least play it safe and check.
Either that or splice in your own power per jksuperstars suggestion.

Re: MIDI Phantom power
I used to have an old ART Studio MutliVerb that hadaninput for a power supply, and put that on pins 1/3 just like this.
Yeah, it'd be easy to build your own box and wire it up using 2 5-pin DIN connectors, and something that fits the power supply. If you're up to doing it, it would be easy to help. You wouldn't even *have* to solder to do it either, just a few wires connecting the three connectors, and that's it.

Thanks could you point me out where to get the parts please.
I'm not electronics expert.

first plug in and try it, but make sure that you have FIVE PIN ACTIVE midi cables. use a cable tester or a meter. many midi cables are only 3 pin active(so that you don't transmit power to devices that provide power and fry anything).
