there is no way i can fix the random glitches of wave source and wav playback!! shit

i disabled the 2nd card and left the 1st scope card which does not share irq. still no fix.
i remember that scopes wave source was causing many glitches with other mobo as well.
i think that dq6x48 gigabyte is fine.

there has to be a solution. i wish i coud rase the wave source latency independentely

the wave modules work fine for me.

you should be able to experiment with preload and other settings for wave/MME/WDM drivers in the host app. this might help....

i found a way to test the wave sources... if this is correct.

i have loaded 1 16bit wav source and 1 wav24bit source

In windows 7 64bit "Playback Devices" i see 2 Soniccore devices.
Now: I rightclick on them and press "Test"... The default windows sound has always Glitches... even on 25ms ully.

Also. i have noticed that when scope 5.1 is loaded, Pc cpu makes continious jumps from 0% to 5% to 0% to 7% to 0% to 9% to 0% to 6%...randomly :o :o :o

no, i don't.

what about this list? did you disable any of this stuff you found?
Intel EIST
Intel C State
C1E Support
Overspeed Protection
Hyperthreading
Execute Bit Support
Set Limit CPUID MaxVal to 3 (maybe not so important)
Intel Virtual Tech
Intel VT-d Tech

i don't know why you are having this issue, there are so many possibities, including things like a weak power supply(not that likely), i'd just be guessing. however, i don't have those issues even on the laptop.

did you go to sytem properties\advanced\performance settings\adjust for best performance? that might help...

is there anything running in the backround that's unrelated to your music apps?

how about a device connected via ADAT or sp/dif that isn't sync'ed properly? i gues this is also unlikey, since you aren't complaining about asio apps...

does the testing of scope wave device... in windows 7 playback devices, give you a clear sounding "arpeggio"(default mi-do-la...la-mi-do)???
try it many times and you may notice glitches... different everytime.

yes, i can get random crackles from the test.
however, playback via all the apps on my computer is pretty much the same in Scope as with the onboard sound. the onboard sound is more distorted in intense passages.

the windows driver is not really very good from m$, period.

i don't know if performance can be improved. only S|C could confirm/deny that.

which you wont get them from the onboard card test.

ok. now you might notice once in a while that crackles like these.. maybe not that loud ..happen randomly. if you hear loud modern music it is more difficult to identify them, but in more quiet and especialy in lower db recordings you will notice the crackles easier.(i talk as if i am sure that they happen to you as well... )
Now seriously i think that they exist.
anyway. what i am trying to do is to use asio plugins for the players, like asio4all.... so to be able to send to scopes wave source and set the latency independetelly from ully.

Try turning off the raid.

I read somewhere that scope doesn't like playing with raid controllers. You might get less if you put the audio files on a non raid disc for playback.

Other thinkgs to check

card seated firmly. use something like oxit to clean the contacts. (dont use the wrong contct cleaner it can make it worse)

take out a stick of ram then swap and take out the other. might be ram.

yeah it could be the power supply, i had that problem once.

change video performance from video settings (enable/disable write combining)

disable wifi, modem, printer, onbaord audio in bios

jump on one leg while chanting, get your girlfriend to do a rain dance

bcslaam, what else would you like me to do? throw pc out of the window?? the glitches will be gone forever

Now seriously, i have made ALL and i mean ALL of the above. except RAM and PSU checking.... which i doubt that would be responsible only for wave source... i mean, how ASIO works fine?
anyway....

I already emailed soniccore and reported the problem.
