I got spare files in the root folder of HDDs and it looks like they're related to the Visual C++ installation that's part of the Scope 5.1 update.
These files are not necessarily written in the primary partition (C:), but, trying the installation in different configurations I've found them elsewhere, always loose in the root folder.
Are these files essentials or are they kind of temporary, installation related?
If they are necessary files, can they anyway be collected in a folder?
Visual C++ 2008 redistributable
Re: Visual C++ 2008 redistributable
And... Can the Visual C++ 2005 previously installed by other apps be uninstalled?
I can see them both installed

Looks like files can be deleted...
Still I have to verify if older apps will work uninstalling the 2005 version
