what happened to kvraudio?
I haven't been able to get to it for a while. Is it just me? or did I miss some big news?
Re: what happened to kvraudio?
Tried kvraudio.com just now, worked fine.

ya, from the temptation of buying excessive plugins! lol
Re: what happened to kvraudio?
Time to learn acoustic instruments because they will always work. Sick and tired of spending money on things which become outdated.

Re: what happened to kvraudio?
haha, agreed on that one. Tho it's also a fun to play around with imagining how it was like when traditional instruments were going through rapid r&d phase..
"dang, i just got a Silberman, but I hear Johann Stein's got much better bass region because of their proprietary resonating material"
"ya, man, it's a fat dog that hunts. None of the puny Silberman crap. What a sore dick deal"
"I hear this year Stein came out with the new backward hammer technology which gives you better touch response"
"I wonder if they can retrofit that stuff on an older version. I hope they thought about backwards compatibility"
"Yo guys, this new thing called the piano will blow fortepianos away. Fortepianos are history."
"No way, pianos don't even sound like a fortepiano. They're just a fad, it'll go away. Fortepianos sound more musical to my ear anyway. Pianos are so mechanically complex and.. so cold, like a machine. Fortepianos have the wood sound, the sound of life, nature."
"I'm telling you, a Stein can kick a pianos ass any day. It's got the proprietary resonating material"
"ya, we know.. better bass region right"
"you guys don't know what you're talking about unless you've touched a Cristofori. That's the real stuff man, the rest are just imitations"
"Oh, you're into the vintage pianoforte stuff.. I have a friend who collects those, he's got like 20 in his garage, and hides them from his wife"
"You can get them cheap if you look around. Or they used to be cheap. Now everyone's scavenging for them so the market price shot up"
"Well, if you're going to spend the same money though, wouldn't you rather get a new pianoforte, or even a piano that has better sound, maintains its tuning, and lasts longer?"
"Dude, you don't understand, Cristoforis are the REAL thing. It sounds big, and warm, and cuts right through the brass guys"
"Ya, I guess so, you can't beat the real thing.. it's got a certain authority in its sound"
eh, ok. I sort of went off on a tangent.. just imagining old musicians and gearheads just makes my head explode with these archetypical characters.. hehe.
