Exchanging ASIO modules doesn´t work

I´m trying to replace the ASIO24 bit modules in my projects with ASIO2flt.
The manual says:

modules and their connections can be exchanged by dropping the new module over the old one, while holding the <ctrl> key.

But this doesn´t work in 4.5 on my WindowsXP machine.
The module is replaced, but the new module is without any connections.
What am I doing wrong ?

it's not that hard to delete the old module and then drag and drop the new module and reconnect it. you can't change modules with the sequencer open and there's not reason to swap them all the time, anyway. i think that tip is VERY old...

Yes, if you speak about only one project and you don´t use a lot of source and destination modules, it is not hard.
But if there is no other chance, I have to do it that ´VERY old´way.
