Hi All
I was hoping someone would be able to help with a few questions I have.
I have just set up a new PC running Windows Server 2008 and was looking to get a sound card for it. Temporarily I'm using an Edirol UA-20 USB interface.
I then remembered I had a Pulsar 1 sitting in the loft. (Did I really pay nearly a grand for it 10 years ago!?) I've been a laptop user for years, hence the disappearance of the Pulsar.
When the x64 Windows SCOPE drivers become available, will I be able to use my Pulsar 1 as a Windows soundcard?
Also, now I've remembered I've got it, I'd like to start using it for music again. Will there be any licensing issues with using the latest version of the SCOPE software with my old card?
Thanks

Yes you will...up to version 4.0 will work perfectly
5.0 will require an upgrade available from S|C..
go to http://www.sonic-core.net/en/products/scope5.html
look for the upgrade...and get the keys via registering...
The EQ & FX & other goodies are well worth the upgrade...you'll see...

Re: A few questions from a newbie
he will need a working keyfile with any version, as keyfiles were never distributed with the card.
Not a problem, tho - just do as Stardust suggests.
The new (very good) reverb effects of version 5 will be an extreme load for a Pulsar one.
Unless you add at least a 3 DSP board with the faster IO system I wouldn't recommend V5.
Version 3 and 4 is fine with the card (and practically no difference anyway).
cheers, Tom
