Hi,
i just got a trust 250S wireless optical mouse and even though it's rechargeable, the distance between the mouse and base is really small.

Also, the Xp drivers are not on default cd and it can make pulsar crash. xp driver works.

However the 1 meter distance is really small. I found microsft does 1,80 meters (3 feet).

Anything better ?

(if you want to know i want to watch dvd and remote the computer, about 4 meters far from TV. It's pretty nice with pulsar and would like to remote from the canapé

Got a Logitec Cordless MouseMan, and I taped the tranceiver under the table, where my mousepad it. It has now great line of 'sight', I can go +/- 5 meters from the tranceiver w my mouse!

Advantage of USB keyb/mouse: can all share one IRQ on my mobo, saves me 2 IRQ's for PS/2 and keyb

At0mic : does it mean you go under the table to use your mouse ?,?

In any case, some additional ps/2 cables would give me afew meters more.
Gonna change for a logitech though.

In fact, does it exist a compromise between keyboard and mouse (small size) some kind of remote control with transport and programable buttons .... ? .
even with a wire, that would be a dream ...

lol, Logitec Cordless MouseMan is not infrared, but uses radio waves instead. I preferred not to use infrared, just because it should always be in line of sight.

Hmmm, maybe this is a bit different, but here's a little tip for Trust's tablet200:
If you use this with Logic, logic gets you a never ending stream of sync errors and samplerate problems. This is abitch, since a Tablet is working really great with Logic!!
The solution? Don't install the Trust software!! Windows will then install it as a standard usb pointing device, and it works fine. You can't use the macro keys on the tabet when doing this, but they're pretty useless anyway....

FYI, i'm working with a Wacom A5 USB table, and it's very cool, and doesn't create any 'midi error', what's that?
And it came with a 5meter cable.

Hey hey...

I never said that

I fact i'm thinking how much can i have for it. No seriously, i don't know if i would sell it...

I think it's cool, if your a graphist or something, but i'm not, so at first, i tought this would replace the mouse, and also maybe help to work longer hours without wrist pain. But the tablet never really replaced the mouse, and it's taking alot of space on my desk, not being used. It's still cool

Yes because, even though i like to draw i find it hard to deal with graph tablets (at least those which do not have a "retroscreen").

But i noticed that Soundforge or other softwares did advertise in the past for their compatibility with graph tablets (or graoph tablets advertised on compatibility with audio softs) : i never understood why that was for or better than a mouse.

Still, i think that someone in the interface industry should take my idea of a remote control with programmable function, and may be send one free to me !!!

This way, i can not only watch dvd lying on the sofa or bed, but also contraols my apps when i record from my ultracool sounding bathroom !

see you
