Vu meter

Post by JoPo »

Hi...

I remember long time ago a 3rd part plugin developper made small vu meter device... But I can't remember where and who it was... I must say that there is much less 3rd part link on the SC web site than before...

Do you remember, someone ? And do you know some web links to developpers wich are not on the SC pages ?

Thanks !

Half a dozen in here, but it is such hard work as the scrolling could take 45 seconds or so.
When it says device isn't available they are. The Y/M server works 100% the other server ( offsite ) has some that work.

Shroomz had an excellent VU w/ K Levels, etc.
I have it but it is hidden in the device thread somewhere.

At this time he is being held for ransom somewhere in Libya. Mr. Arkadin recently went there to negotiate a release,.......unsuccessfully....

???
It works in XITE-1 but I did notice that if it is saved in a project it causes trouble.
I use 6 of them when I send groups to an FOH/Monitor engineer.
They are large and can be seen from 20 feet away.
I always have to give the analog synth it's own seperate buss as it is just a beast and even though I get a great mix at home, it changes according to the subs and set up the house PA's have. That's why I use a sequenced loop of synths and busses only so I can sit with the FOH and make sure the level is what I want. It never hurts to slip them a 20 spot. It isn't required but they will talk you up to others and it shows you are truly old school.
Same with cocktails. They are free, so a 5 is just average. If you are with 2 or 3 people, you hand the bartender a 20 spot folded so the camera can't see it. Then you'll notice how you can hold a conversation with others and your glass is never empty.
Anyways the site above has many useful meters that appear to be accurate.

It's a bit a pity : almost all the links are dead and it is enough old to not work very well on scope 5...
Is there other developper ? A bit less old ?

I'm also looking for some filters...
