need set +4db or -10 db AD\DA creamware ???

The 16-distorts a + 4dB
is necessary to set a - 10 dB? ' to work?
is a bug in a 16 ultra?

It depends what it is going in to, some equipment cant take that hot signal (like kp3 for instance)

HI is possible that to set ad /da 16 ultra on + 4 db give distort signal and I must to set on - 10 db for run properly ,
despite the 'connected hardware is professional?

What do think regards , maybe is bug of the converter ??

Nunz, that is normal. Your gear doesn't take +4, give it -10 :)

If only 1 is distorting then maybe you should pad it rather than set 8 outputs to -10
can you tell which one is distorting?

The real omission here is you're not stating WHAT exactly is distorted, and how it's connected.

Distortion would occur at +4dBu *if* you routed the a16 to a mixer or another device after.

Routing a sound source that's +4dBu into the a16 set to +4dBu should be correct, and routing a -10dBV signal would require some additional gain (offhand I think it's about 9dBf of gain once on the digital side.)

If you have only one or two devices that are +4dBu and your synths are all -10dBV then you might want to use a pad or DI/reamp device to convert down to line level for those 1 or 2 devices, and run the a16 at -10dBV, this will avoid having to use additional gain (some older synths are noisy enough already.)
