scope 5 Instalation keys problems

scope 5 working but there are some issues with keys.

1. protone is not in synths folder, even if the registry has its serial number.
2. sixtring and sixstringv5(don't know what that means) cannot be loaded.. asks always for key.
3. profit 5 misses sounds. it only has 2 in preset folder.


also.. is profit5 the same as pro12 i have bought sepperatelly?


i have already emailed at soniccore but they seem a little slow.
actually i asked for another keyfile that includes all my modules for the new RC.
about the above i tried different solutions but do not seem to do any work.
copy paste dsp pre device files from scope 4.5 instalation does not work. causes scope5 blocking and asking keys for almost everything and needs to be closed and run again to work again.

do NOT import dsp files from v4 to v5 unless it's a specific dsp file that the system asks for. the new dsp files are very different and the old ones will often lead to faulty operation. i'd try starting over. since a program is just a bunch of files, proper operation is often just a matter of neat and tidy file management...

yes, profit5 and pro12 are likely the same. there's a new sixstring(v5). i don't know why your key didn't work. is there a pro ONE in your synth folder?

you should be able to copy device and preset files from v4 if needed....

protone is missing from synths folder. the SC registry key appears though
sixstring is in folder but asks for key..... after i load again the keyfile.. then it asks always and always and will not load.
in registry sixstring is missing..
profit5 has only 2 sounds


i tried to copy dev. and pre. files from scope 4.5 to scope 5 folders but it continiusly asks for key and after i close scope it crashes!!!

is the sixstring key in the v5 allkeys file you got from S/C? if not, and if you HAD a key in v4, Ralf will have to fix that, you NEED a key. when you got the v5 keys did you send a copy of your allkeys file? that usually works best.

sixstring is not is not in registry but exists in folders.
the key i used with 4.5 is invalid on scope 5.

for sixstring, you just need to get a key from Ralf.

for protone, you should be able to move the preset and dev files into v5 from v4(copy/paste). don't transfer any dsp files unless prompted when trying to use it....

about the presets of profit 5 i fixed the problem by renaming to profit 5.pre the pro12.pre of scope 4.5
now i see the full bank of pro12. the question is.. do i miss something from the full profit5.pre of scope 5?
mine has: 127 factory, 22 Jesse, 28 Macro Paris. what about the profit 5.pre you guys have??






garyb.... about the protone about an hour ago i tried copying the dev and pre files but it asked for key and after i loaded the keyfile it said ok, but no protone appeared and after it asked again. when i enter manually the key it syas invalid key for protone. actually in registry it appears as SCprotone and not protene. might be minor but critical in this phase.
...............i will try once more..... means no sleep tonight


about sixstring i will wait for creamware to answer.



forgot that i a problem with dynatube as well
no sound coming out. it just lets sound if it is bypassed

dynatube loads, presets appear but there is no sound.
is there a possibility that some dsp file is missing? even if not asked?
which dsp files are for dynatube bandle?

possibly a file is missing. probably not, though....

have you tried overwriting the device manually?

i instaled scope 4.5 to use oxe files. at the moment that this message appears that you need to restart scope in order for the device to bla bla bla...... in the oxe folder appear all the files that are created and afterwards will go to the appropriate folders.
with dynatube in my case i did a copy paste to have the files ready for placing them to scopes 5 instalation folders after uninstaling 4.5 and instaling 5 back before pressing ok(after the open folder disappears and it will be diffcult to find the dsp files in the dsp folder.

BUT!! some files .mdl also were created. were should i place those in scopes 5?


about protone it is impossible to load.

i fixed dynatube.


it needed also these .mdl files. 17 files that i placed them into App folder.


the step that saved me was the open oxe folder that i could copy paste the created files of dynatube.oxe
and this way it was easy.
it would have been impossible to find which .mdl and .dsp files are for dynatube cause these are many in number and also do not have the name of the module as dynatube.dev, dynatube.pre and dynatube.pep have.



Still have to fix Sixstring and protone.

for profit5 presets that my scope 5 instalation misses i finaly just loaded the .pre file of pro12 within devices presets. much easier this way.

the problem still persists for Protone, since i do not have the .dev in folder after scopes 5 instalation.
scopes 4.5 dev does not seem to work.

They also gave me Protone in rgy. but no device.
I believe it is a magical that will be on nthe ftp. eventually.
Personally I doubt I will ever use it, but it's just another dev. to look forward to.

so it is not included in the new ...09.exe as it is obvius from instalation (Full instalation) it is not included.

copy paste of .dev .pre .pep files does not help for protone.

has anybody used it in scope5?

why xite for live you do not like protone?

Didn't say I don't like it. I never heard it yet.
I just don't need another analog emulation from way back then, especially when I have JBowen's newest synths that are far more advanced at emulating Analog.
Seperate Oscillator glide amounts as in the real synths, SSM, CEM and Minimoog Filters.
CEM, Waldorf and so many other choices of Oscillators from Adern, SpaceF and Bowen.
If a synth doesn't have RD Slots, I don't have the time.
For example, Prodyessey is often spoke of as an excellent emulation. Well I beg to differ.
It doesn't perform like a real analog, and it doesn't sound like a real analog.
So why would I want to use it....? Well because I can load 6 of them w/ 16 voices in XITE-1....? So what, 6 x instances of a half-baked emulation is not my idea of analog sound.

I played Oberheims, Moogs and ARP's for years, so when I started playing VST synths I immediately laughed as they were weak. Then I heard Creamware and noticed their sound was superior, but lacking the performance features I mentioned.
Then I heard Bowen synths and immediately got a Woody.
That only happens when I play FAT BASTARDS.
You should just break down and buy a Bowen synth.
I would be happy to show you tricks he has implemented and doesn't speak of much, because he figures nobody knows. Well some us of us are old ancient warriors and know the diffrerence. But I perform those styles where these tricks are used, so it depends if you really want the real deal, or the astroturf versions.
