Hi could someone show me how to connect my scope up so i can playback in cubase and record in cubase.
I do not have the ADAT extension.i have a yamaha 01x which is using digital in/out into the scope soundcard.
I need to be able to use the moduels in the routing window to connect to cubase so i can hear whats coming out of cubase also i need to be able to record into cubase via the yamaha line/mic inputs.
Can someone show me a screenshot of hoe to connect things up.
Thank you

Re: connecting scope to cubase
connect the MxL and MxR also with the 1L/1R ASIO Dest and choose the "ASIO SCOPE" Driver as your ASIO interface in cubase. Then you should get the signal at the input bus in cubase.
cheers...

Re: connecting scope to cubase
the asio dest module is the input for cubase, connect whatever you want to record to that. you can run it through a mixer first or not, doesn't matter. If you connect it to your master though you'll be putting back whatever is playing out of cubase in again, so don't use the mixer's master outs.
Re: connecting scope to cubase
Hi is MxL and MxR the mixer outputs or inputs?

Re: connecting scope to cubase
everything on the left side is input, right side is output. MixL and MixR are your master outs, the mix out, so everything going in your mixer is coming out here, unless you defeated it. You have to think about this stuff just like hardware. So if you want to put something through the mixer and then record it you'd use the direct outs for the channel (which are showing DL1 DR1 etc, these are "direct Left channel 1, direct Right channel 1, etc.). If you don't need it to go into the mixer put it directly to your asio dest (which is your cubase in, asio source is your cubase out) and also route it to the mixer if you need to monitor it, unless you are monitoring externally. For instance when I record drums I monitor them through my external mixer, so I put them directly to asio dest, but the rest of the track is playing into scope from cubase and I use that to monitor. When I mix a song I have many cubase outputs coming into the mixer, then I record that in wavelab by connecting a wav dest module to the MixL and MixR, hope this helps, I know it can be a little confusing at times but once you catch on you'll like the routing options available to you.

Thanks a lot yes it is a bit confusing but i will try it
Re: connecting scope to cubase
just follow the signal flow(with your finger if you have to). it's easy and it works just like the real world.

Re: connecting scope to cubase
Are you committed to using a Scope mixer for your setup? I use my Cubase mixer due to the fact that i rely mostly on UAD and other VST fx/dynamics plugins....
My Scope setup has an Asio destination module w/ 32 channels, and into these channels go my Scope synths plus ADAT and analog front-end inputs. Inside Cubase, these become a series of mono and stereo audio channels.
The Cubase main outs appear in Scope as Asio2 Source Module channels 1R and 1L -- my setup has additional source channels so that i can use Scope plugins as bus FX (and there's no reason not to use additional Source channels to feed external FX units, which would be routed back into Cubase using channels on the Scope Asio Destination module).
Wow, i hope this is making sense to you. If you want I can post a screenshot when i get home tonite and/or send you a project file -- PM me if you want one, and let me know what Scope cards you've got.
Regards
Glenn
