It shure takes some time to get the final release date of 3.1
So what is this version going to bring me , i read about the live bar ?? how is it working n more patching anymorer ??
maby the beta testers can give me some info..
so when is it coming then 3.1 ??
You can load devices into your project using Live Bar, and this automatically sets up the midi & audio routing for you. Of course the good ole routing window is still there for you if you prefer it the "old school" way (I've always been a fan...)
I think the concept is explained in the "NAMM 2002" thread, so I think it's safe to say this much. GSIF driver info for 2k/xp has been leaked already (its coming basically) Not sure how much more info you'll get than this though...
The main thing with this release, is we will all be using the same base software, only with different sets of plugins (and dsp/ios) based on the product you have. This means we ALL get updates at the same time, bug fixes at the same time, etc. I think that's the most exciting part of the new release, personally...

Yes, it's much nicer if all CW users wait together for the next update. One happy family...The main thing with this release, is we will all be using the same base software, only with different sets of plugins (and dsp/ios) based on the product you have. Sounds to me like the code is shared across the whole line to an even greater extent than before. If this is true is should greatly improve resource management with their programming team and hopefully speed up the rate at which we'll recieve updates ;]
Either that, or it'll slow everything down as they decide that some semi-obscure Luna bugfix is to be included in the next release and meanwhile the rest of the code is done and we're ALL left waiting (could something like this, perchance, be happening NOW?
).
