FX send and return inserts

Post by Humblesoul »

I am some what of a new user but am getting by with scope.I am trying to use it more,I tryed to patch in a reverb effect on a channel. I managed to get it set up what i thought was the right way but instead of it being on one input it was on all inputs.Does the 2448 have individual inserts for each channel?I ran the reverb through an aux out and then a return but could not keep it from effecting all the inputs.I am using the direct outs on the mixer going into Samplitude 9.

Thanks James

What I/O's are you using?
Which Reverb and model #.

Since I am not Karmac I will use one of my units as an example.
The Q20 is a great example, especially since one could use 4 of these w/ a single pair of ADAT Source & Destination modules.

Sorry, Paint is the only toy I know how to use.

yes, the 2448 has individual outputs fopr each channel, but reverb should be connected to an aux out(i send the same aux to both channels of a stereo reverb as it's rare that i need to pan anything inside the reverb itself) and then returned to a input channel(ch1-24) or return channel(ch25+). on each track/inputchannel that you wish to have reverb on, enable the aux and then move the knob to the position that is properly saturated. the reverb itself should be 100% wet(NO dry).

Thanks guys,Gary that sounds like kind of what i tried.I must have missed something because the reverb was on every input.I tried it with the MasterVerb just to see if i could get it to work.I will work on it some more tonight or tomorrow.

Stardust,I have my control room monitors hooked up to the main outs on the 2448.That way i can listen to eveything as it goes through the direct outs.I don't know if thats the best way to do it.
