Qvoting Phil Collins "..Can you feel it coming through the air tonight"

not really?!

When do You think it´ll be out ? - sorry no price for the winner!

My wild guess is tomorrow, monday 22-04-2002

Offcourse it has to be ok when released, but if it takes too long, i might just end up like one of these

21st of April IS NOT the release date for SFP 3.1 ......
Why do you keep talking about it as if it was ???
Creamware's TARGET is end of april, but no official date has been set...
It's NOT coming out tommorrow...

Kim.

today is the last day the propack is for sale
and there are a number of posts on the creamware site that suggest 3.1 would be released this weekend.
also hubrid suggested it would be 2 weeks, 2 weeks ago.

but i suspect it will be another week or so yet..

better they get it right than release it early in my view

What a bummer.. I have to wait 'till I finish all my bigger projects just for the upgrade, just to stay on the safe side.. That'll be like mid August!! Arrrgh!

sandrob - what problems did you have with XP - I am thinking of upgrading (got it running on my laptop and it seems pretty good for everything I do there). Any you could shed on issues would be useful

cheers

mark

I am currently running 2000 btw

vst works great in xp with 3ms latency but my major problems in xp:
1. gsif
2. distortions on note off while playing sts3000
3. cd access while pulsar is in background.

i hope that cw will fix that for 3.1 or... i don't know. i realy don't want leave this platform but sometimes cw dissapointed me.
why people goes for hammerfall if cw is much better card and have everything what's have hammerfall and much more?
i think that's drivers and bugs must be first priority for cw and then will be more interes of developers to make stuff for cw, and people don't want to leave.
compactibility is important if you don't work just for yourself!

why people goes for hammerfall

You keep saying this. Why not buy one and see if it magically solves all your problems?

BTW gsif is coming for 2k/xp probably (its in SFP beta).

CDROM access isn't a problem for me; there are CDROM problems throughout XP, not just with CW stuff.

The STS on note off, I haven't experienced, but there is the filter issue, which also drives me nuts. I use something else for sharp transient sounds for this, but I hope it's fixed.

more people goes for hammerfall

coz that is what is present in real world.

they have the stability, great I/o, and the good support reputation that is what we all know and heard, but they are a bit more expensive than few other brands.
donno if they have more money or not.

for creamware:
we heard they have bad support, bad compatibility, poor stability.
but great possibility, good sound, great routin system, fun to play.

hey subhuman - sandrob said:
"why people goes for hammerfall if cw is much better card and have everything what's have hammerfall and much more?"

this seems to me to be an endorsement for CW: "it has everything that a hammerfall has and more" - I don't think that he was criticizing CW here . . .

Hey folks,
I'll move this to General Discussion, since as many people pointed out, this is NOT an announcement of a release.

It'll be released when it's ready to be released, and I for one certainly hope no sooner! Who wants to pressure CW to release a not-quite-ready product???

Ok, thanks

I'm happy to wait really. I'm amazingly calm about the whole thing. Strange for me.

i'm frontline cw's fighter in croatia because i love this platform and if i ever leave pulsar it will be last solution! but if somebody wants to work in my studio he have wishes and he ask many questions before.
btw: i don't have problems with stability. i can't remeber when's my computer crashed last time.
20% pulsar's possibilities is more than hammerfall's 100%, but my friends with hammerfall don't have problems like: cd access, samplers distortions, 24bit wmd, 88.2khz recording, never solved bugs, never responsed mails and they already use giga in xp.
i'm now on win98 but new cubase will not supporting win98! if i ever must make decission "pulsar or cubase" - i will choose cubase and many people will do the same!

that's why i'm afraid of this cw's update and that's why i suggest to cw: "don't hurry - do basic stuff!"

sorry about english! i can't better
