Not a problem if you have the keyboard's midi output port connected to your Scope card's midi input port & your Freak connected to the Scope card's other midi input port. :D

FWIW Neil, I would definitely recommend that you DO go for a USB midi keyboard if it has a normal midi output port as well like these M-Audio ones. That way you have the best of both worlds, standard midi connection if you need it & a faster USB transfer of midi data to Cubase when you need it. Don't be afraid of USB midi at all. You'll get use to it in no time.

Ah but I hadn't read your reply at that point

It'd be nice to have 2 midi input ports - my whip only has one

I think a nice Glenlivet 15 in Canadian Oak (or French) is called for this evening and a new bout of concentration in the morning.

Thanks Schroomz - want a glass?

Just pick up a cheap 2 channel midi interface then... OR for about 60-70 quid you can get a 3dsp luna or powersampler giving you an xtra midi input, loads of xtra I/Os & more dsp power!!!! I'd go for the second option...

Option 3 - buy a little midi merge box like one of the Philip Rees ones below. You see these all the time on Ebay & they normally sell for buttons.

Yeah, I meant to say Neil, I completely forgot that the Scope cards only have one midi input. For as long as I can remember we've always had 2 or 3 cards in our Scope systems, so I've just gotten used to having multiple midi inputs in Scope. :rol:
